Madagascar Bamboo’s main product is pre-varnished tongue and groove fused bamboo flooring. We take pride in producing beautiful, solid bamboo flooring that combines the aesthetic qualities of tropical hardwoods with the ecological properties of fast growing renewable bamboo. We offer additional products including unfinished flooring, fused bamboo boards, and pre-cut boards for the furniture industry.
Madagascar Bamboo currently employs 120 people at our production facility. Our production capacity is approximately 9,000 square meters of flooring per month. The company manages the bamboo from the producers through to the finished product placed into containers for shipping.
The company’s founders and management are committed to social and environmental responsibility. We have created jobs in our production facility as well as in our mobile bamboo pre-transformation units. Our bamboo plantation activities offset carbon emissions from our production facility. We purchase giant bamboo directly from local villagers creating significant economic opportunities for an extremely disadvantaged rural population.
